In a recent interview on 5 Hip Hop Nights, Touchline reflected on how the recognition came early in his journey. “You know, the first person to ever like reach out to me online to say yo this is lit, was Riky Rick. This was, I think, in 2016, he was the first person. He quoted my lyrics on Twitter, and I was like Wow, Riky Rick. So I would say Riky was the first person to speak about me, the first notable person to speak about me,” he said.
The tweet, Touchline explained, came at a pivotal moment when he was still gaining traction as an emerging artist. He said the endorsement provided validation and visibility that encouraged him to continue creating and sharing his music.
Since that first nod in 2016, Touchline has steadily built a following, releasing multiple singles and collaborating with other artists. He said the early support from Riky Rick inspired him to focus on refining his craft and remaining consistent with his music.
