Famous choreographer and Idols judge Somizi Mhlongo has posted a video, warning parents to be vigilant while shopping with their children, especially during the festive season.
Mhlongo posted a video on TikTok, warning parents to not only keep an eye on their children at all times, but to be vigilant while out because kidnappings can happen in a blink of an eye.
“I’m doing this video just to warn parents, especially mothers. It’s festive (season), but at any time, you must be vigilant… You need to be careful about your bags, about your belongings, about your phone. But more than anything, I don’t care much about your bags and about your phones and your belongings. Children!” said Mhlongo.
The celebrity was at a mall this week when he spotted a mother with two children in a shopping trolley buying coffee at a ‘to-go’ kiosk. The woman had her back turned away from the trolley.
“For a good two minutes, she never turned to see the kids. I go… I lift the baby that can’t talk… I walk away. The three-year-old is saying “Mama! mama!” But the mother still says, “Wait a minute,” and she buys coffee,” Mhlongo continues.
“I disappear and go to the corner and watch. She turned! I saw her heart moving from left to right… Now she’s asking the three-year-old where the little baby is… and then I appear and say “Sisi, sisi, sisi!”
“I took advantage because I knew she would know me, she would that I’m joking. But I wanted her to feel and know the importance of never even for one second… losing sight
