Super Eagles Star Uche Leads Getafe Past Celta Vigo

Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche was on target for Getafe in their 2-0 win over Celta Vigo in a 2025-26 La Liga encounter on Sunday.

Uche scored a goal and provided one assist to hand Getafe the maximum points in their first game of the season.

He assisted Adrian Liso for the first goal in the 47th minute to make it 1-0.

Uche added the second goal in the 72nd minute to complete his impressive performance for the team in the encounter.

He played the whole duration of the match which further established his importance to the team.

Last season, Uche scored four goals, and recorded six assists in 33 league appearances for Getafe.

Uche made his Super Eagles debut against Jamaica in the Unity Cup in May.

He scored the winning penalty against Jamaica to win the tournament for Nigeria.

Getafe will take on Sevilla next Monday while Celta Vigo will battle it out with Mallorca on Saturday.
