President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, are among dignitaries expected at the launch of the biography of former Akwa Ibom State governor, Obong Victor Attah.
The event, which will also mark Attah’s 87th birthday, will be chaired by former President Jonathan. President Tinubu will serve as Special Guest of Honour, Senate President Akpabio as Guest of Honour, while Governor Eno will be the Chief Host.
A former Media Adviser to Attah and member of the planning committee, Udeme Nana, announced in Uyo at the weekend that the launch will hold on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the biography, authored by veteran Vanguard journalist Dr. Dele Sobowale, chronicles the life and public service of the former governor.

“I want to formally announce, on behalf of the Central Planning Committee, the launch of the biography of His Excellency, Architect Obong Victor Attah, who will by the grace of God turn 87 on Thursday, November 20.
“On that date, he will formally present what may be described as his biography titled ‘Attah: Architect of a New Democratic Dawn.’
“The chairman of the occasion will be former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. The sitting President, who incidentally was one of Attah’s colleagues, will be the Special Guest of Honour. The Senate President has also been invited as a special guest, while Governor Umo Eno, his successor by protocol, is the Chief Host.
“The book, written by Dr. Dele Sobowale, has been in the works for 14 years and is now ready for public presentation,” Nana said.
He described Attah as a patriot and visionary leader whose contributions, he said, continue to shape Nigeria’s democratic and development landscape.
