Tinubu To Address Northern Church Leaders, Attend APC Chairman’s Mother’s Funeral in Jos

October 04, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu will on Saturday travel to Jos, Plateau State, to attend the funeral prayers of the late Nana Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe, mother of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nantewe Yilwatda Goshwe.

In a statement on Friday, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu will depart Lagos early in the morning for the ceremony.

The late Nana Lydia, remembered as a devout Christian and respected community leader, was the mother of the APC chairman, who hails from Plateau State.

While in Jos, Tinubu is also scheduled to meet and address church leaders from across the Northern region at the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN).

According to the statement, the meeting forms part of the President’s ongoing engagements with faith-based leaders aimed at fostering unity and national cohesion.

The President is expected to return to Lagos later in the day.
