Tomiwa Sage Set For Comedy Special ‘Somebody Has To Say It’

Nigerian comedian and storyteller, Tomiwa Sage, is set to return to the stage with his highly anticipated comedy special, ‘Somebody Has To Say It’, taking place on November 30 at the Agip Hall, MUSON Centre.

Known for his fearless humour, razor-sharp perspective, and ability to boldly articulate the thoughts people shy away from, Tomiwa Sage—born Tomiwa Kukoyi—is promising an evening of laughter layered with truth, cultural reflections, and unfiltered commentary on the world around us.

“This special is me holding a mirror to society. Nigeria is in the crosshairs right now, and we all see what’s happening around us. Not everyone has the courage to talk about it. That’s where I come in. Somebody has to say it, and that is where this event comes in,” Tomiwa said while speaking about the upcoming event.

According to the storyteller, this year’s show will bring together some of Nigeria’s finest comedic voices who will share the stage with Sage, delivering a diverse range of styles—from observational humour to satire to pure, unrestrained stand-up. The lineup features SLK, Ovy Godwin, Makinde David, H Prince, Dan De Humourous, Ebuka Mic, MC Larry J, Funny Urch and Prophecee C, all coming together for a night designed to keep audiences laughing nonstop.

Speaking further on what fans should expect, Sage added: “It is not just about laughter, of which we will be delivering high doses; it’s therapy, it’s truth, it’s a way to reset the system. This show is a celebration of honesty in its funniest form. By the time we’re done, you’ll laugh, you’ll think, and you might even question why you didn’t say some of these things yourself.”

The event is expected to attract comedy lovers, industry enthusiasts, and audiences seeking a night of premium entertainment infused with bold truths.
