1. Akpabio, Bamidele, Others Meet Tinubu In Aso Rock After Plenary
The leadership of the National Assembly on Tuesday held a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Naija News reports that the lawmakers arrived at the State House in the afternoon and were seen at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa around 3:30 p.m.

Those present included Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, was also part of the meeting.

The gathering at the Presidential Villa lasted for about thirty minutes.

2. Dangote Petroleum Refinery Reduces Petrol, Diesel Ex-Depot Prices
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit and Automotive Gas Oil, marking its first downward price adjustment after several recent increases.

The latest pricing template released by the refinery on March 10, 2026, shows a significant reduction in the gantry prices of petrol and diesel.

According to the new template, the gantry price of petrol has been cut by ₦100 to ₦1,075 per litre, down from the previous price of ₦1,175 per litre.

The refinery also stated that PMS supplied through coastal distribution would sell at ₦1,050 per litre, reflecting a slightly lower price for marine deliveries.

The refinery further announced that the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil, commonly known as diesel, has been reduced to ₦1,430 per litre.

This represents a reduction of ₦190 from the earlier price of ₦1,620 per litre.

However, the company noted that the quoted gantry prices do not include statutory charges imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.

3. ‘Only Two Governors Left In PDP But We Are Not Bothered’ – Makinde
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has said members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are unbothered despite the party having only two governors, following the wave of defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News recalls that Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, had on Monday announced his resignation from the PDP, leaving the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed and Makinde as the only PDP governors.

Speaking at the Expanded meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) in Abuja on Tuesday, Makinde said what is happening in the party is a challenging period for PDP leaders, members, and democracy in Nigeria.

Makinde, who downplayed plans of defection in his speech, expressed optimism that the current crisis will end, adding that when the story of the turmoil is told, people will know that they stood on the side of the masses.

4. 2027: ‘No Time To Wait For Supreme Court’ – Saraki Sends Message To PDP Leaders After Appeal Court Ruling
Former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has appealed to all leaders and stakeholders in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to bury the hatchet, accept the Court of Appeal verdict, and move towards holding a fresh national convention that will comply with all guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Saraki, in his reaction to Monday’s judgement on last year’s national convention of the party held in Ibadan, advised all the leaders of the party that it was time for introspection and for them to see the Appeal Court decision as an end to all litigations.

According to him, there is limited time to prepare for the 2027 elections, and the party does not have the luxury to wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court on the leadership crisis rocking the party.

Naija News reports that the former Kwara State Governor made his view known in a statement on Tuesday, signed by the head of his media office, Yusuph Olaniyonu.

Saraki warned that feuding leaders should not allow their ego and personal differences to jeopardise the chances and future of the PDP.

5. Obidients Started Abusing Me When I Refused To Work For Peter Obi – Bwala
Presidential aide Daniel Bwala has disclosed that he once turned down an offer to work for former presidential candidate Peter Obi.

According to Bwala, Obi used former President Olusegun Obasanjo to ask him to work for him in 2023, but he declined.

The presidential aide disclosed this during an interview with On-Air Personality Daddy Freeze.

He stated that Obasanjo was behind Obi’s presidential agenda despite his public denial.

Bwala claimed that when he refused to work with Peter Obi, Obidients started insulting him.

6. Court Adjourns Abubakar Malami’s Terrorism Financing Trial
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the trial of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, over allegations of terrorism financing.

Naija News reports that the case was postponed to April 15 for continuation of trial.

Malami and his son, Abdulaziz Malami, were arraigned on February 3 by the Department of State Services (DSS) on a five-count charge.

The charges border on alleged terrorism financing and illegal possession of firearms.

According to the DSS, the former AGF allegedly refused to prosecute suspected terrorism financiers, despite receiving case files forwarded to his office for legal action.

On February 27, the court granted bail to the defendants.

Onigbinde’s family confirmed his passing on Monday, March 9, 2026, through a WhatsApp message signed by a relative, Bolade Adesuyi. The announcement of his demise came four days after he celebrated his 88th birthday on March 5.

The message from the family read, “With great gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the passing of this great man, a Modakeke High Chief, the first indigenous Nigerian Super Eagles football coach, father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, High Chief Festus Adegboye Onigbinde.

“We thank God for the fulfilled life and your contributions to the Nigerian nation and the world as an unequalled football coach.
