The Villa stopper is hugely in-demand following his World Cup heroics with Argentina
However it’s Tottenham who hold the most significant interest in the World Cup winner’s services.
Martinez has truly announced himself as one of the top goalkeepers in world football due to his performances for club and country.
As well as shining for Villa, the ex-Arsenal shot-stopper was a standout performer as Argentina won football’s Holy Grail in Qatar in December, with Martinez proving to be the hero in a dramatic penalty shootout.
While Aston Villa are currently right in the mix for a spot in Europe next season, the prospect of joining one of the Premier League’s top clubs could be too good to turn down.
Both United and Chelsea are looking at alternative options as they look to bolster their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile Spurs will be looking for a replacement for Hugo Lloris, with the club favourites to sign the ex-Reading loanee.

Martinez joined Aston Villa in 2020 after spending eight years with Arsenal where he struggled to establish himself as the club’s number one.
Since then he has racked up 109 appearances for Unai Emery’s side, as well as winning 28 caps for Argentina since his debut in June 2021.
He still has four years left to run on his deal at the Midlands, and will likely not come cheap for any potential suitor.
Martinez has featured in 33 top-flight matches this campaign – keeping 11 clean sheets.
