Unknown gunmen abduct APC secretary in Rivers less than 72 hours to guber, state assembly polls

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretary in Ikwerre local government area (LGA) of Rivers state, Amadi Osaronu.

Osaronu was abducted by some gunmen dressed in police uniforms from his residence in Aluu region of Ikwerre LGA on Wednesday, March 15.

Darlington Nwauju, the APC publicity secretary, Rivers state chapter, while confirming the development, stated that, “No amount of intimidation and arm-twisting will change the outcome of the March 18 governorship and state assembly elections which would be a resounding defeat for our opposition.”

It is worth noting that this development comes less than 72 hours to the forthcoming gubernatorial and state assembly elections.
