Moses Simon called time on his five-year stay at Nantes and joined newly-promoted Paris FC last month
Super Eagles winger Moses Simon was treated to a warm welcome by Nantes when they met with his new club Paris FC in their pre-season game at Stade de la Beaujoire on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Simon decided to call time on his five-year stay at Nantes this summer and joined newly-promoted Paris FC, who finished second in Ligue 2 last season.
Paris FC is prmarily owned by the Agache Sport and Alter Paris, and they have pumped in a lot of investments into the club. They basically lured Simon by doubling his former salary at Nantes.

Nonetheless, there was no love lost between Simon and Nantes, as he left the club under peaceful circumstances.
The Super Eagles star has been active for Paris FC during pre-season. And he made his first return to Nantes on Saturday for a friendly game.

The game was played at Stade de la Beaujoire, home of the Yellow Canaries, and the fans turned up in their numbers.
Before the game, Nantes paid a tribute to Simon. The club’s players and staff gave him a guard of honour as he walked onto the pitch. Then, the fans in the stands gave him a thunderous ovation.

The Super Eagles star did not score on the night, but he put up a solid 77 minutes of action for Paris FC who claimed a 3-2 victory.
Simon will meet with his old club Nantes again when the new Ligue 1 campaign starts. Paris FC first play Nantes on October 26 at Charlety before returning to Stade de la Beaujoire on January 18, 2026.
