Communities in Zamfara have again been urged to continue to rally round the present administration under Governor Dauda Lawan and support his quest to giving the State a total positive transformation.
They should also desist from anything capable of tarnishing the image of the State in the eyes of the world.
Alhaji Nuhu Salih Anka, the director- general, media and communication to the governor made the disclosure while speaking with The Authority in Gusau the capital of the State during the week.
The D-G explained that it is only through support and cooperation that certain goal can be achieved, and that where the above mentioned ingredients are lacking, then there is problem and people should not expect any development.
According to Anka, governor Dauda Lawan of the State is doing his best, particularly in areas of security and infrastructure which is glaring, adding that those who left Gusau the State capital for some times, if they come back today they will be surprised with the level of positive transformation they will see.
“This is democracy, and the definition of it is development not just to be deceiving people through money spray, it does not help matters. What you should do as a leader is to ensure the safe keeping of what is under your control, hold it with all honesty and do the needful for your people, like what the present governor does now, his mission is only to see that his State has reached a point of competing with anyone in terms of development and other social requirements for the people he rules”.
Speaking further, the D-G disclosed that from inception of the present administration to date, no part of the State has not been touched positively.
“This government, in just less than two years has been able to give the State total care involving all sectors, especially health, because no local government is there without a standard hospital with all the needed equipment as well as all other required facilities”, the D-G added.
“Arrangements are on the way by the government towards improving the living condition of the people across all the 14 local governments apart from other efforts the governor is making with regard to the welfare of his people”, he said.
