In a significant development, Prof. Dr. Shaik Mahammad Rafi has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Trustees and Director of the India Campus of West Coast International University of Science, Technology, Management, and Arts, USA.

Daily Independent learned this from Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu in a telephone conversation today, being November 24, 2025, as Prof Aremu congratulates Dr. Shaik Mahammad Rafi on his well-deserved appointment.

The First African UNESCO Laureate, while commending Dr. Shaik Mahammad Rafi for his global contributions to the growth and development of Computer Science, Law, and Engineering, stated that Rafi’s appointment was endorsed by him as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
