A woman has gone viral on social media after candidly documenting the changes her body and skin went through during pregnancy.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), user @ayyitslala shared before-and-during pregnancy photos that highlighted the impact pregnancy hormones had on her face.
“I’m grateful that I haven’t experienced morning sickness from the start of my pregnancy up to eight months now,” she wrote. “But my face has completely changed.”
She also addressed unsolicited remarks from others, stressing that the changes were temporary and hormone-related. “This too shall pass. I really dislike it when people blame makeup or skincare products instead of understanding what I’m saying. To all new moms or anyone experiencing this, don’t worry.”
The new mom continued to document her postpartum journey with comparison photos captioned “1 week postpartum vs 21 days postpartum,” noting that her skin was slowly improving but had not fully returned to its pre-pregnancy appearance.
According to her, she sought help from Euphie Clinic, beginning with a gentle cleansing routine. On Day 27 postpartum, she started treatment at the clinic, which included Fotona Rosacea Laser therapy to calm flare-ups and reduce redness.
She shared that her doctors provided her with topical and oral antibiotics along with a night cream to reduce inflammation and manage infection. However, she delayed oral medication because her newborn, Khaseh, was still recovering from jaundice.
In closing, she encouraged other mothers to be patient with their bodies and trust the healing process, promising to share more updates after her next treatment session.
