Yobe Approves New Ministry Of Health Complex

The Yobe State Government has signed contracts for the construction of a new Ministry of Health and Human Services complex within the Yobe State Secretariat, marking another strategic step in strengthening healthcare service delivery across the state.

The project reflects the unwavering commitment of the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni, to reposition the health sector for greater efficiency, accessibility, and quality healthcare for the people of Yobe State.

Speaking at the contract signing ceremony in his office, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Muhammad Lawan Gana, stressed the government’s determination to ensure strict adherence to approved standards and value for public funds.

He charged the contractors to uphold professionalism and deliver quality work in line with project specifications.

According to him, “You must ensure the delivery of a quality job that fully complies with the approved standards and specifications,” the Commissioner emphasized.

Gana noted that the new ministry complex would provide a more conducive working environment for staff, while significantly improving coordination, planning, and effective service delivery within the health sector.

The brief but significant ceremony was witnessed by the permanent secretary, the director of DPRS, and representatives of the three contracting firms, underscoring the collective responsibility to ensure the successful execution of the project.
