The revelation was made during a press briefing on Friday.
This confirmation follows growing public criticism after WAEC abruptly shut down its result-checker portal on Wednesday, citing “technical issues.”

He identified the error in the previous results of 754,545 candidates, representing 38.32 percent, who obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
He added that the reviewed results showed that 123,984, representing 62.9 percent, obtained credits and above in five subjects in a minimum of five subjects.
