The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Gov. Abubakar Sani-Bello won the seat in the National Assembly for Niger South.
Kolo Zacchaeus, who works for INEC, announced the results on Monday in Kontangora.
Zacchaeus said that Sani-Bello got 100,197 votes, more than his closest rival, Shehu Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who got 88,153 votes.
He said that Wali Ibrahim of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) got 13,886 votes, Sani Sule of APGA got 2,747 votes, and Musa Yakubu of ADC got 636 votes.
He said Buhari Haruna of the PRP got 1,597 votes and Ibrahim Muhammad of the NRM got 307. ADP’s Adamu Tainmu got 515 votes.
He said that the SDP’s Sama’ila Yahaya got 169 votes, the ZLP’s Yamaha John got 937, and the Accord Party’s Mohammed Usman got 220.
