Source: UGC Morocco were handed a late penalty after El Hadji Malick Diouf dragged Brahim Diaz inside the area in stoppage time.
Centre referee Jean-Jacques Ndala was asked to review the decision on the pitchside monitor and gave the penalty.
Drama started when Senegal refused to allow the penalty to be taken, questioning why their goal at the start of stoppage time had been disallowed.

Senegal were incensed after the penalty call, with the head coach, Pape Thiaw, asking his players to leave the pitch.
More drama ensued after Sadio Mane, contrary to what his coach wanted, asked his teammates to return to the pitch. The Al-Nassr star went to literally fetch his teammates who had already retreated to the dressing room.
Brahim Diaz misses late AFCON 2025 penalty After almost 15 minutes, seemingly resigned to fate, the players returned to the pitch with Diaz assuming responsibility. The task was simple: score and win Morocco’s first AFCON title.
The drama didn’t stop there. Diaz attempted a cheeky panenka penalty, which Edouard Mendy calmly collected, much to the disbelief of everyone.
Ndala ended the game immediately, forcing extra time in one of the craziest AFCON storylines.
Four minutes into extra-time, Morocco were made to pay immediately after Pape Gueye broke the deadlock. The move started with Mane, whose backheel found Gana Gueye, who set Pape on his way. There was nothing Yassine Bonou could do about the Villarreal man’s shot.
In the end, it was the shot that won the game and the final for Senegal as Morocco’s hearts were broken yet again.
