While the theme song of Your Friends and Neighbors might suggest you can’t always keep up with the Joneses, viewers will certainly have to try, as the Apple TV+ drama featuring Jon Hamm has been renewed for a third season!
Before the arrival of Season 2 in April, the streaming platform unveiled a fresh teaser trailer on Monday. They also confirmed that the dramedy, crafted by Johnathan Tropper, which chronicles Hamm’s character adjusting to life after losing his prestigious job at a hedge fund, will make its way back to the fictional Westmont Village, New York, for another season.
Although the release date for Season 3 hasn’t been announced yet, Tropper and Hamm, who also serves as an executive producer, were able to produce the second season in under a year, largely due to an early renewal for Season 2.
Hamm shared with DECIDER that this early renewal allowed the team to concentrate on crafting the narrative and ensured they could deliver the next season promptly. It also reinforced Apple’s commitment to the series.
“Being renewed so early in the show’s lifespan is a tremendous honor and speaks volumes,” Hamm stated. “It’s the first time Apple has taken such a step. It’s definitely a feather in our cap, and it affirms that we executed our vision in a compelling manner.”
With Season 3 now in the bag, too, it appears Apple TV is all in on this little show!
According to the streamer, Season 2 will follow Andrew “Coop” Cooper (Hamm) as he “doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbor threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk.”
That neighbor appears to be played by Paradise Emmy nominee James Marsden, who joins the cast alongside returning suburbanites Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan.

Season 2 make its debut on Apple TV with one episode on April 3, followed by new episodes every Friday through June 5. Season 1 of Your Friends and Neighbors is now streaming on Apple TV.
