After going several weeks without being won, the PowerBall jackpot has seen back-to-back winners.
One lucky player scooped the R108 million PowerBall jackpot last Friday evening, lottery operator ITHUBA confirmed.
The jackpot then reset to an estimated R5 million for Tuesday, 24 March’s draw.
One lucky player correctly predicted those five numbers as well as the bonus ball, earning himself – or herself – a pay day of R4 869 661.50.
Winner not yet revealed
The winning PowerBall numbers drawn were 11, 13, 19, 22 and 39, with the bonus ball number 1.
The identity of the winner has not yet been revealed as at the time of publishing.
Following the latest win, the PowerBall jackpot has now reset once again to an estimated R5 million for the next draw, scheduled for Friday, 27 March.
PowerBall Plus Jackpot Rolls Over
Meanwhile, there were no winners in Tuesday’s PowerBall Plus draw, resulting in a rollover.
The jackpot for PowerBall Plus has now climbed to a guaranteed R54 million for Friday’s draw.
The PowerBall Plus numbers drawn were 7, 15, 19, 31 and 44, with the bonus ball number 20.
ITHUBA has reminded winners to sign the back of their tickets and present valid identification when claiming prizes, while urging players to play responsibly.
