Nollywood actress Fathia Williams has opened up about her relationship with her former husband, Saidi Balogun, stating that they still maintain a peaceful connection despite their separation.
Naija News reports that the actress spoke in a video that surfaced online shortly after the burial of her late mother, where she addressed questions that have followed her over the years about her past marriage.
Fathia explained that her relationship with Saidi is now based on respect and their duty as parents.
She said they still communicate because they both work in the same film industry and also have children together.
According to her, he remains a responsible father, and their bond did not completely end with their marriage.
She made it known that their past will not affect her future decisions.
Fathia stated clearly that her ex-husband does not have any control over her personal life, especially when it comes to getting married again.
She also shared that she still believes in love and is open to remarrying if she meets the right partner, showing that she is hopeful about the future.
She said: “He’s my ex, my child’s father, and my colleague. He’s a wonderful father. He can’t stop me from marrying again. If I meet the right person, I’ll marry again.”
Faithia Williams and Saidi Balogun got married in the early 2000s and were once seen as a strong couple in the Yoruba movie scene.
Their union later came to an end, but both of them continued to grow in their acting careers.
