Ruto, during the Kalasha Awards, revealed that Culey went on to pursue interior design, noting that she was right for wanting to pursue film.
“One more thing, I must apologise to my daughter Chepngetich. She had asked me after form four that she would want to do film, and I said no. Watching what I have watched this evening, it was a mistake on my part. I should have allowed her to do film. She went on to do interior design, but I am sure if she is watching me somewhere, she now knows I said she was right I was not.” Netizens react to Ruto’s apology Here is what they had to say:
Isacko Roba:
“Can I marry her his excellency sir.” Liz Kiki:
“I wish my dad could just say he is sorry for not supporting me in higher studies to enable me pursue what I really wanted. It can’t change a thing, but it would mean a lot to me.” Mufasa Bishop:
“Cool Dad moves… I kinda like Mr President’s way with words and more so the fact that He just apologised on TV to His own daughter and on behalf of a million other dads out here.” Ngorobi Wa Mùtuuhya:
“My dad also forced me to do education. I wanted to study ANTHROPOLOGY which is still an item top on my to do list. I graduated, handed him the certificate and hit the streets. I am writing this comment about two decades later, complaining about a person who left this life thirteen years ago after doing nothing with the certificate I gave him. Mwenyezi Mungu aendelee kumuweka mahali pema peponi baba-angu Mr Ngorobi Wa Franjethi.” Source: TUKO.co.ke
