She shared her inspiring story with TUKO.co.ke, recounting the challenges that shaped her life and changed its trajectory.

“My education journey has been successful because of my aunt, who supported and educated me to where I am today. One of the biggest challenges I faced was the lack of parental love and support. I wish my parents were here to celebrate and support me. My school experience was wonderful. I studied at Imperial College of Medical and Health Sciences, where I pursued a Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology,” she said. When did Wambui’s parents’ pass away? After graduating, Wambui visited her parents’ graves dressed in her full graduation gown to share her academic success with them.

She posted several TikTok videos capturing the emotional moment as she returned to their resting place, noting that they had passed away in 2013.

“I went there because I wanted them to see. I had made a promise to visit them after graduating from college and show them that I had made it. I am so happy. Also, being the first sibling to graduate is a major achievement, so it was a source of motivation for me as well,” she added. She was overjoyed to have fulfilled her promise to work hard and graduate from college, proud that she had kept her word.

Another clip captured her breaking down in tears as she reflected on the loss of her parents, who passed away more than a decade ago and left her in the care of relatives.
