Former Benue House of Assembly Speaker dumps APC for PDP

The immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, R.t Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Dajoh was formally received into the PDP in Makurdi by Former Benue state goveror, Samuel Ortom, who is the leader of the party in the state.

The former Speaker currently represents Gboko west constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday, Dajoh’s defection followed his resignation from the APC after prolonged internal disagreements within the party.

Dajoh also attended the PDP senatorial primary election in Benue North-West as a stakeholder of the party from Gboko.

The former speaker said his political decisions would continue to be guided by the collective interest of the people of Gboko west and Benue state.

Dajoh also reiterated his commitment to inclusive politics, unity, community development and the welfare of the people.
