Ogun Police Probe Death Of Ex-OGTV Broadcaster, Oyesiku, Security Guard

The Ogun State Police Command has launched investigation into the deaths of renowned broadcaster and retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) personality, Ms. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard after their bodies were discovered at her residence in Iyana Agodo Village, Ogun State.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the incident was reported at the Owode Egba Divisional Headquarters on Sunday, June 21, 2026, following a distress call from a resident who noticed suspicious activities at the residence.

Police detectives who visited the scene reportedly found signs of forced entry and disturbance.

The body of the security guard was discovered inside the security post, while Ms. Oyesiku’s corpse was later found in her apartment.

The police also disclosed that the late broadcaster’s vehicle was missing from the premises, raising suspicions of a possible robbery and homicide.

Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident and directed detectives to track down and apprehend those responsible.

The command said intelligence-led operations and surveillance had been intensified across relevant locations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the killings.

The Ogun State Police Command expressed condolences to the family of the deceased, the Ogun State Television (OGTV) family, and the media community, assuring residents that no effort would be spared in ensuring justice.

The police also urged members of the public to remain calm and provide any useful information that could assist the ongoing investigation into the tragic deaths of the veteran broadcaster and her security guard.
