April 07, (THEWILL) – Former Inter Milan player, Antonio Candreva, scored a late equaliser to snatch a 1-1 draw for Salernitana and extend Inter’s winless streak to six games at Stadio Arechi on Friday.
Robin Gosens had given Inter the lead early on, but the visitors’ profligacy in front of goal came back to haunt them. The visitors created several chances throughout the game and hit the woodwork twice but failed to capitalise on their dominance.

Gosens’ opener was their first goal from open play since March 5, and they were punished for their wastefulness in the 90th minute when Candreva’s cross found the back of the net.
Beyond the draw, Inter will turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League and their match against Benfica on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Salernitana will be delighted with a point that could prove vital in their battle to avoid relegation.
