April 11, (THEWILL) – Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili’s agents were reportedly in England last week, holding talks with multiple English Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old has been Valencia’s first-choice goalkeeper in what has been a disastrous season for the club, currently sitting on the brink of relegation. Valencia’s poor league form aside, Mamardashvili has put in some solid performances since arriving in 2021 on loan, which was made permanent in 2022.
His performances have attracted interest from a number of clubs, with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Leicester City all reportedly in discussions with the player’s representatives. Other clubs said to be interested in Mamardashvili include Atletico Madrid, Monaco, and AC Milan.
However, any potential move is dependent on each club’s current number-one goalkeeper situation. Valencia is said to want £30m for the player but may ask for more from a La Liga club.
