Binani’s Declaration: “I don’t know if any law was broken” – Adamawa Senator

Senator Ishaku Abbo, who represents Adamawa North senatorial district, has expressed his satisfaction with the controversial declaration of Aisha Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, as the winner of the Adamawa Gubernatorial election.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the senator shared his views on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Despite the illegality of the announcement, Senator Abbo expressed his happiness with the outcome.

“Yes, I was very happy. I don’t know if any law was broken,” he said.

Recall that on Sunday, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa, illegally declared Binani as the winner of the state election. However, the electoral commission promptly denounced the purported declaration and suspended the collation of results from the supplementary election.

The electoral body has also summoned the REC to Abuja immediately.
