EPL: Man City suffer huge injury blow after Arsenal defeat

Manchester City could be without Rodri for an extended period, after he picked up a groin problem during their 2-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

According to manager Pep Guardiola, he is waiting for the results of a scan from the medical team.

City now face an anxious wait over Rodri’s fitness.

It is the one negative from what was a huge victory against Arsenal, which sees Guardiola’s men now three points behind Arsenal, with a game in hand.

This injury setback adds to a frustrating campaign for Rodri, who has already missed 11 league matches this season due to recurring hamstring and knee problems.

Despite his injury-hit season, he has still managed to make 31 appearances across all competitions.
