The excitement surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026 has reached new heights following the release of Game Time, the latest single from the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, featuring award-winning music stars Future and Tyla.
Released via SALXCO UAM and Def Jam Recordings alongside an official music video, the high-energy track is already available on major streaming platforms and is expected to become one of the defining sounds of the tournament.
Produced by four-time GRAMMY Award winner Cirkut, Game Time marks a historic moment for FIFA as it introduces hip hop to an official World Cup soundtrack for the first time. The collaboration blends explosive rap rhythms, booming percussion and bold brass instrumentation with Tyla’s vibrant pop melodies, creating a powerful anthem designed to capture the tension and excitement before kick-off.
The track opens with Future’s commanding line, “20 seconds to game time”, reflecting the anticipation felt by players and supporters alike as the world counts down to football’s biggest spectacle.
Future described the project as a fitting soundtrack for the tournament’s global stage.
“The World Cup is a global stage. We made a record to match that energy. Now you know it’s Game Time,” he said.
“I’m excited to bring that energy to the Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles and celebrate this moment with fans from around the world.”
South African star Tyla also expressed her excitement at contributing to the official album.
“Being part of the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album feels like a full-circle moment for a girl — from South Africa hosting the World Cup in 2010,” she said.
“I’m so excited to perform at the opening ceremonies. Let’s go Bafana Bafana.”
The duo are set to perform Game Time live for the first time during the star-studded FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony at Los Angeles Stadium on Friday, 12 June.
The song joins previously released tracks Lighter, Por Ella, Echo, Illuminate and Goals, further expanding the tournament’s official soundtrack and reinforcing FIFA’s ambition to celebrate football through music that reflects the game’s global culture and diversity.
