Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team has secured qualification for the World Athletics Championships for the fourth consecutive time after a strong performance in their latest race.
The team finished second behind China in a time of 38.09 seconds, booking the final automatic qualification spot for next year’s championships in Beijing.
The quartet featured a reshuffled lineup, with Edwin Gadayi moving to the opening leg and national 100m record holder Abdul Rasheed Saminu taking the anchor position. Benjamin Azamati and Joseph Paul Amoah also delivered solid runs to complete the team’s effort.
Ghana will now turn its attention to the African Athletics Championships, which will be held in Accra in May.
