Zulum commissions nursing college, recruits 50 nurses

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, on Monday commissioned three major projects in Gwoza Local Government Area, including the new College of Nursing and Midwifery, a block of 20 teachers’ quarters, and 200 lock-up shops at the Gwoza Main Market.

To strengthen healthcare delivery, the governor also approved the recruitment of 50 nurses for the Gwoza General Hospital, which will serve as a reference centre for the new college.

Speaking at the event, Zulum said the projects mark a shift from rebuilding losses to investing in life and recovery.
