The Federal Government has officially announced the theme for Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary celebration: “Nigeria @ 65: All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation.”
According to the government, the chosen theme reflects the urgent need for unity, patriotism, and collective responsibility across every sector of society. From public institutions to the private sector, civil society groups, and individual citizens, the call is clear—everyone must play a role in building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
Officials explained that the theme is designed to inspire a renewed sense of collaboration and national commitment as the country continues to navigate its challenges while pursuing lasting peace and progress.
The government urged Nigerians to work collectively to consolidate on these gains and further the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Activities lined up for the celebration include a Juma’at prayer on Friday, September 26, at 1 p.m.; an inter-denominational church service on Sunday, September 28, at 10 a.m.; and a world press conference on Monday, September 29, at 10 a.m.
The details were contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations.
