The Adamawa State Police Command has debunked social media reports alleging that the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) im the state was beheaded by terrorists.
The Command described the viral post, credited to a Facebook account named “Lionman Lioni”, as malicious and intended to incite panic and religious tension among residents of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, stated this in a statement on Saturday.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, psc (+), has dismissed the claim, affirming that “no such incident has been recorded anywhere in Adamawa State.”

The Commissioner also confirmed that an investigation has been launched to identify and prosecute those behind the misleading post.
