The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a woman, Joy Ayodapo (29), in an Ado-Ekiti magistrate’s court over allegedly obtaining money under false pretense.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant, on December 21, 2025, fraudulently obtained the sum of N870,000 from one Patrick Adeyanju contrary to Section 329 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Mayowa Omojola, urged the court to grant his client bail on liberal terms.

The Magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned to February 16, 2026.
