Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has congratulated officers and ratings of the Nigerian Navy Logistics College following the successful completion of various training programmes at the institution.
The governor’s message was delivered by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo Garo, during the combined graduation ceremony for participants of the Logistics Officers Basic Course 37, Petty Officers/Leading Seamen Course Batch 48, Basic Qualifying Course Batch 56 and Basic Project Qualifying Course 04.
Speaking at the event, Garo praised the Nigerian Navy for its dedication to professionalism, discipline, personnel development and service to the nation.
He said the graduation of the officers and ratings demonstrated the Navy’s commitment to producing competent personnel equipped to manage logistics operations and contribute effectively to national security.

The deputy governor noted that the Kano State Government recognizes the important role played by the Armed Forces, particularly the Nigerian Navy, in protecting the country’s territorial integrity, safeguarding critical national assets and ensuring peace and stability.
He urged the graduating personnel to remain committed to the principles of integrity, professionalism, loyalty and patriotism in the discharge of their responsibilities.
According to him, the knowledge and skills acquired during the training should be deployed to improve operational efficiency and strengthen Nigeria’s security framework.
Garo, on behalf of Governor Yusuf and the people of Kano State, congratulated the graduating officers and ratings, their instructors and the management of the college for the successful completion of the programmes.
He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing security, human capital development and national unity, while wishing the graduates success in their future assignments.
In his remarks, the Commandant of the College, Commodore AA Madawaki, thanked Governor Yusuf and the people of Kano State for providing a conducive and hospitable environment for the training programmes.
He noted that the trainings are not end in themselves, but important instrument designed to shape the character of the officers and guide their future professional conduct and decision-making.
Madawaki further charged the graduants to be exemplary personnel and worthy ambassadors of the college.
