A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr. Akinola Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa has commiserated with the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ajibola Basiru over the death of his mother, Alhaja Sidikat Basiru Suuru.
In a statement on Sunday, Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa described the late Alhaja Sidikat as a quintessential mother whose life was marked by piety, hard work, and compassion for all.
“I received with profound sadness the news of the passing of Alhaja Sidikat Basiru Suuru, the beloved mother of my brother and friend, the National Secretary of our great party, APC, Dr. Ajibola Basiru.
This is indeed a great loss not only to the Basiru family but to all who came in contact with this remarkable woman,” he said.
Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa recalled the late Alhaja’s nurturing spirit, noting that she provided shelter, guidance, and maternal care to many young people during challenging periods.
“Mama was a tower of strength. Her prayers, wise counsel, and unconditional love sustained many people around her”
“Her home was open without hesitation for everyone,” he added.
May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus, and grant Dr. Ajibola Basiru, his siblings, and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
