First Lady Oluremi Tinubu conferred with traditional title Soniyako Nupe

First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was conferred with the traditional title Soniyako Nupe by the Etsu Nupe, Dr Yahaya Abubakar, in Bida, Niger State, on Saturday, 2nd May 2026.

SSA Media to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Busola Kukoyi, announced this in a statement issued on Saturday.

Kukoyi said the honour reflects recognition of her contributions to national development, unity, and humanitarian service.

“A moment of cultural significance and national pride”, she said.

The ceremony was witnessed by dignitaries including Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, his deputy Yakubu Garba, and the Wife of the Governor, Hajia Fatima Bago, alongside other traditional leaders.
