JUST IN: Bala Mohammed Opens Up on Alleged 2027 Joint Ticket With Jonathan

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has broken his silence on rumours linking him to a return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for a potential 2027 joint presidential ticket with former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Taking to his X handle on Sunday, the governor gave an update on his immediate political future and distanced himself from any alignment on any national ticket.

His reaction follows speculation that he was on the verge of returning to the PDP, coming just a short while after his exit from the opposition platform, which has splintered into factions.

“Thank you for your interest in my political aspirations,” the governor wrote. “However, for the sake of clarity, my focus remains firmly on contesting for the Bauchi South Senatorial District seat under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).”

He further urged his supporters and the general public to treat any alternative narratives regarding his political trajectory as entirely false.

“Any reports suggesting a different political course should be disregarded as speculative and inaccurate. Thank you,” he added.
